Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Does my data really never leave the browser?
Correct. All analysis runs entirely in your browser. Only your question and the table structure (column names, data types) are sent to the AI. Your actual data always stays on your device.
Which file formats are supported?
Currently CSV and TSV. We're working on direct database connections (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Excel import for upcoming versions.
Do I need technical knowledge or SQL skills?
No. You ask questions in plain language. PiroBI automatically translates them into SQL queries. If you can use Excel, you can use PiroBI.
What does PiroBI cost?
We're currently finalizing our pricing. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know as soon as we launch. No hidden costs, no training required.
Does PiroBI work in every browser?
PiroBI runs in all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Since everything runs in the browser, you don't need any installation or IT team.
What makes PiroBI different from Power BI or Tableau?
No setup, no DAX, no IT department required. Your data stays local — no cloud upload. PiroBI is built in German and designed specifically for SMEs, not for enterprise teams with data engineers.
What is PiroBI?
PiroBI is a browser-based business intelligence software for SMEs in the DACH region. All data analysis runs locally via DuckDB-WASM directly in the browser — no data leaves the device. Users ask questions in natural language, and PiroBI automatically translates them into SQL queries, displaying results as charts or tables.
Is PiroBI GDPR compliant?
Yes — and technically guaranteed, not just promised. Since all calculations run locally in the browser via DuckDB-WASM, it is technically impossible for data to be transferred to an external cloud. There is no privacy policy to trust: the architecture makes data transfer simply impossible. Only the table structure and the question asked leave the browser.
